I love making food content.
In 2004 I started a food blog called GentlemanGourmand.com (now defunct)
It was great. It was embarrassing. It was marginally popular.
My most productive post (by a landslide) was a chef name pronunciation guide. I spent weeks reaching out to chefs via email to get their preferred pronunciation and heard back from a great many of them. For years it drove the vast majority of the traffic to the site.
In 2006, I reached out to a production company that was filming The Hungry Detective, a new Food Network show. They ended up coming to Boston for an episode and I not only was a Production Assistant for the episode but also managed to become featured on it!
While at LevelUp, I put on yearly cooking demos at the office which were both fun and well attended.
